It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Norman Patton of Morris, Illinois, who passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Patton and Muriel G. Patton; his wife Joan Patton; his brother Marvin Patton; his granddaughter Jessica Tait Romero; and his great grandchild Alice Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Tait, Bruce Patton (Joyce), Cheryl Benac (John) and Jeff Patton (Amber); his grandchildren, Jennifer Tait (Jason Carmen), Jeremy Zimmerman (Leanne), Jeanette Fugger (Ronald), Lauren Patton, Morgan Logston (Cody) and Dralia Tully-Patton (Chris); and his brother Duane (Vicki). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
