He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Anton Korte and Ruth Rose Korte. He is survived by: his wife Anita Korte of Jerry's Pizza; his children, Kendall Claire (Craig Claire), Kaylin Korte and Nathan Korte (Gracie Wargo) of Morris, Illinois.; and his siblings, Kathleen F. Korte-Long of Edwardsville, Christopher A. Korte (Gina) of Highland, Curtis F. Korte (Mykelann) of Edwardsville, Douglas G. Korte (Francine) of Pacific, Cinthia R. Pratt (Scott) of League City, Sheila M. Korte of Saint Louis, Emily Korte-Stroff (Clayton) of St. Louis and Chad P. Korte of Highland, Illinois..

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the U. C. Davis Callahan Funeral Home (301 W Washington St, Morris, IL 60450). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (600 E Jackson St, Morris, IL 60450).
