He was predeceased by: his wife Janet; his parents, Sylvia Rodzen and Edward Rodzen; his son-in-law Dennis Kaftan; and his brother Walter Rodzen (Sue).

He is survived by: his children, Laurie Kaftan (late Dennis), Scott (Jennifer), Timothy Rodzen and Brandi Hritz (Eric); his grandchildren, Logan, Tommy, Theresa, Haley and Elizabeth; and his siblings, Richard Rodzen (Karen), Barbara Hoole (Robert) and Patricia Rodzen. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
