We announce the death of Shelby J. Matuszewski of Morris, Illinois, who passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 89. Shelby will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Shelby will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Shelby’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Jacklich and Kathryn Jacklich (Bosonetta). She is survived by: her husband Fred; her daughters, Lydia Matuszewski (William Vandermyde) and Lynnette Ahaus (Scott); her grandsons, Jacob Cobian, Ian Ahaus and Kyle Ahaus; and her sister-in-law Janet Matuszewski.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the Braceville-Gardner Cemetery (7295 E Braceville Rd, Braceville, IL 60407). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
