He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathais Sasgen and Jeanette Sasgen (Nowak); his wife Peggy (Wood); his brother William Sasgen; and his nephew Thomas Mikrut.
He is survived by: his sister Theresa Mikrut; his sister-in-law Vicki Sasgen; his nieces and nephews, Karl Sasgen, David Mikrut, Larissa Sasgen and Carol Thill; and his close friend Lisa Flanagan.
