Carol L. Schroeder Obituary
We announce the death of Carol L. Schroeder of Morrison, Illinois, who passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 92. Carol will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Wiersema, and Carrie Wiersema, Sr. (Engelkens); and her brothers, David Wiersema, Jr. and Kenneth R. Wiersema. She is survived by: her husband LaVerne C. Schroeder; her daughters, JoEllyn Mackey (Lynn) of Rock Falls, IL and Cheryl Riggen (Ernest) of Morrison, IL; her grandchildren, Alex Riggen (Allison), Elliott Riggen (Jessica), Kira Gonzalez (Rolando) and Emily Alvarez (Nick); and her great grandchildren, Annie Riggen, Arthur Riggen, Adler Riggen, Annelise Gonzalez and Mateo Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethesda Lutheran Church (301 W South St, Morrison, IL 61270). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
