He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred J. Huizenga and Alice Huizenga (Noordt); his wife Gertie; his son Gary Dale Huizenga; his granddaughter Abbie Marie Huizenga; and his brothers, Peter, Jacob and Edward Huizenga.
He is survived by: his children, Betty Bower (John Danko) of Murfreesboro, TN, Nancy Rutledge (Jerry) of Morrison, IL, Debbie Hills (Craig) of Dixon, IL and Tom Huizenga (Kristi) of Morrison, IL. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bosma-Renkes - Morrison Chapel (404 Lincoln Hwy, Morrison, IL 61270). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established to Quad City Honor Flight and Ebenezer Reformed Church.
