He was predeceased by : his parents, John A. Prins and Helen Prins (Van Zuiden); and his siblings, Dorcas Cole, Kenneth Prins, Arnold Prins and Elmer Prins.
He is survived by : his wife Barb; his children, Melissa Benson (John) of Little Chute, WI and Steve Prins of Waco, NE; and his grandchildren, Makayla Wiegand (Isaac), Dayne Benson Smith and Madilyn Benson Smith.
A memorial has been established to Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling, IL.
