He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Engelkens and Abbie Engelkens (Peoples); and his son Al Engelkens. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Gorzney of Morrison; his daughter Ann Klein (Rob) of Durand; his daughter-in-law Cathy Shipp of Sterling; his brothers, Jim Engelkens (Gail) of Morrison and Wayne Engelkens of Chadwick; and his grandchildren, Ben Engelkens, Liz Engelkens, Brock Klein and Brett Klein. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home- Rock Falls (1002 12th Ave, Rock Falls, IL 61071). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock River Hospice & Home.
