He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Vandermyde (Bill) and Gladys Vandermyde (Dykstra); and his wife Carolyn Hamstra. He is survived by: his children, Lain Vandermyde of Morrison, IL, Kimberly Nistler (Brent) of Wauwatosa, WI and Kelly Vandermyde (Dale Gibler) of Fenton, IL; his granddaughter Clarie Nistler of Chicago, IL; and his sister Judy Vanderbleek (Dave) of Moline, IL..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bosma-Renkes - Morrison Chapel (404 Lincoln Hwy, Morrison, IL 61270). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
