He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold "Arnie" Wiersema and Dorothy Wiersema. He is survived by: his wife Louise; his children, Melissa Johnson (Kevin) and Lance Wiersema (Lesa); his grandchildren, Taylor, Brenton, Brittney (Robert Cook), Logan, Brooke, Jordan (Whitney Murray), Carter and Cora Wiersema (Landon Mohr); his great grandchildren, Ryne, Adrian, Rhett, Anakin and Odin; his siblings, Mary Pilgrim (Ron) and Rod Wiersema (Beth); and his aunts, Darlene Hook and Dorothy VanZuiden. He is also survived by many extended family members, dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bosma-Renkes - Morrison Chapel (404 Lincoln Hwy, Morrison, IL 61270). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Ebenezer Reformed Church (309 E Park St, Morrison, IL 61270).
