He was predeceased by: his sisters, Helene Schachne (late Morris) and Dr. Rita Chafkin (late Samuel). He is survived by: his wife Hope June; his sons, Dr. Michael Melnick (Helen), David Melnick (Judy) and Aaron Melnick (Jane); and his grandchildren, Maddie, Brendan, Emily, Daniel, Patrick, Alex, Jacob, Haley and Adam. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
