We announce the death of Martin Gahbauer of Morton Grove, Illinois, who passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 89. Martin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gerlinde; his father Martin; his pet Wolfie; his uncle Max; his children, Dolores Szafranski (Michael) and Martin A. Gahbauer (Nancy); his grandchildren, Nicholas (Jordan), Christopher (Kristen), Erika Szafranski, Maria, Maximillian Gahbauer, Cameron and Zoey; and his sister Annemie Zitzelsberger.
