She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Hoyland and Margaret Hoyland; her husband Wayne K. Jerney; her son Douglas Jerney (Karrie); and her grandchild Jamie Jerney.

She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Lichner (Kenneth) and Timothy Jerney; her grandchildren, Erin Szastak (Aleks), Kenneth Jerney, Marjorie Lichner, Sally Lichner and Kenneth Lichner; her great grandchild Hailey Szastak; and her sibling Thomas Hoyland.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and on Monday, July 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Simkins Funeral Home (6251 Dempster St, Morton Grove, IL 60053). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
