He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Irene; his sister Lisa Kaluza (Daniel); his siblings-in-law, Mary Robinson (Dean) and Jerry Barkulis; and his nephew Michael Roder.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ottenfeld; his daughters, Traci Ottenfeld and Laura Matug (Alex); his granddaughters, Audrey and Katherine Matug; his siblings, Mark (Susan), Susan Roder, Paul (Sandra), Neal (Judith), Pamela Barkulis (Jerry), Daniel (Victoria) and Timothy (Slawka); and his nieces and nephews, Melissa, Allison, Adam, Cassie (Elizabeth) of Evan, TJ, Jonathan, Andrew, Olivia, Kevin, Jacob, Hannah, Dean and Jessica. He is also survived by 5 great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Raymond de Penafort Church (301 S I Oka Ave, Mt Prospect, IL 60056). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Raymond de Peñafort Catholic Church (301 S I Oka Ave, Mt Prospect, IL 60056).
