He was predeceased by: his mother Reva Bushman; and his son Mark Ivor. He is survived by: his children, Breck Nelson (Janie) of Greenville, Shay Nelson of Greenville, Sara Harkins (Ben) of Travelers Rest and Matthew Nelson (Ann) of Brimfield, Illinois; his grandchildren, Zachary Nelson (Ruth), Rosie Baker (Ross), Brooke Kleinik (Jared), Gabrielle Nelson (Ross Robinson), Sophie Perez (Gabriel), Ava Nelson, Kaiden Nelson, Josie Harkins, Audrey Harkins, Presley Harkins, Scarlet Harkins, Wes Harkins, Fiona Harkins, Kai Nelson, Cael Nelson and Maud Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Addie, Clark, Mark Baker and Axel Kleinik.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Morton Fire Department or Midwest Food Bank.
