He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvid Ehlers and Roaine Ehlers (Nesbit); his wife Betty Stark; and his siblings, Thomas, Ron Ehlers, Bill Miller and Barbara Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Frederick "Rick" Ehlers, Jr. of Morton and Tammy Couchman of Morton; his grandchildren, Kara Hokinson, Ryan Couchman and Ryne Ehlers; and his great grandchildren, Kaelyn Hokinson, Lucas Couchman and Lochlan Jenckes.
