It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Maria Wefer of Morton, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 60, on September 23, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Maria is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Maria's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Truitt and Judith Truitt (Himebaugh); and her son Clyde. She is survived by: her husband Mike of Morton; and her children, Bethany, Henry, Sarah (Anthony Berlinger) and Daniel Wefer.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home (140 S Detroit Ave, Morton, IL 61550). A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the All Saints' Episcopal Church (201 W Chicago St, Morton, IL 61550).
