She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Ritthaler and Jennie Ritthaler (Moser); her son Jerry Birkey; and her siblings, Chauncy, Paul Ritthaler and Virginia Ritthaler.
She is survived by: her son Terry Birkey of Morton; her grandchildren, Stephanie Reffey (Lee) of Texas, Zach Birkey (Briley) of Monee, Nick Birkey (Ashley) of Bourbonnais, Amber Williams (Aaron) of Morton, Tyler Birkey (Joan) of Deer Creek and Kali Kitt of East Peoria, Illinois; and her sister Darlene Schimmelpfennig (Bob). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Groveland Missionary Church (5043 E Queenwood Rd, Groveland, IL 61535). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
