He was predeceased by: his parent Jerry Otten; and his mother-in-law Dolores Otten. He is survived by: his children, Melissa Bara (Willie), Robert Kurtz II (Danielle) and Keith Kurtz; his grandchildren, Will Bara, Jacob Bara, Lucas Bara, Sara Kurtz, Nolan Kurtz and Reid Kurtz; and his siblings, Pete Kurtz (Rhonda) and Shari Cooper (David).
While battling Parkinson's, Bob participated in a workout group called Rock Steady Boxing, where he found great comfort and camaraderie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rock Steady Boxing in Peoria.
