He is survived by: his daughter Diane Winding (Jeff); his close friend George Land; his grandchildren, Robert Wayne Mathis, Jessica Thomas Baxter (Dan), Jonni Thomas, Jeffery Obptande (Leah) and Alaina Obptande (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Skyler Baxter, Anthony Wayne Mathis, Harley Baxter, Elyjah Mathis and Remmy Mathis; his nephew Wayne; his former wife Melba Mixen; and his sisters, Ethel Letchenberger, Betty Rosseutcher and Mary Evelyn Mixen.
