She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo P. Keepes and Edith C. Keepes (Tennis); her husband Richard K. "Dick" Hockgeiger; her son-in-law Martin Tennes; her siblings, Howard, Bernard, Norman, John L., Victor Keepes and Bertha Mae Kieffer; and her siblings-in-law, Phyllis, Shirley Keepes, Lewis Kieffer and John Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Tara Reeves (Danny) of Heflin, Tim Hockgeiger (Donna) of Mount Carmel, Illinois, Julie Tennes of Mount Carmel, Illinois and Kent Hockgeiger (Ronda) of Mount Carmel, Illinois; her grandchildren, Erin Watts (Kevin), Karrie Fortenberry (David), Robert Reeves (Brittany), Hilary Guillot (Kendall), David Myers, Stephanie Myers, Allison Lopez (Diego), Natalie Schraner (Cory), Andrea Philipson (Quintin), Martin Tennes (Cami), Emily Tennes, Ashley Smith (Brian), Ryan Hockgeiger (Shelby), Kasey Gill (James), Grant Hockgeiger and Haley Hockgeiger (Sampson Margelin); her great grandchildren, Michael Watts (Zoe), Christopher Watts, Nolan Watts, Jude Fortenberry, Asher Fortenberry, Mercy Fortenberry, Sawyer Guillot, Annie Guillot, Alexis Finch, Logan Myers, Collin Myers, Violet Miller, Ben Miller, Ezra Miller, Andrew Schraner, Charlie Schraner, Otto Tennes, Zoey Smith, Reggie Smith, Aubren Hockgeiger, Isabelle Hockgeiger, Maverick Hockgeiger, Lila Hockgeiger, Ryleigh Gill, Cooper Gill and Huxley Gill; her great great grandchild Millie Finch; her siblings, Eugene Keepes (Judy) and Marilyn Harris; and her sister-in-law Helen Keepes. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Keepes Funeral Home (1500 N Cherry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A rosary was held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Mary's Catholic Church (125 W 5th St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863).
Memorial contributions may be made in Agnes' memory to St. Mary's School or Residential Hospice.
