Bessie Yarbor Obituary
We announce the death of Bessie Yarbor of Mount Carmel, Illinois, who passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 98. Bessie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Oscar Barber and Lucinda Mae Barber (Mason); her husband Rev. John Yarbor; and her brothers, Roy Oscar Barber, William George Barber, John Edward Barber and Ross Franklin Barber.
She is survived by: her sons, John William (Teresa) of Bloomfield, Indiana and Wesley Yarbor (Cindy) of Mt. Carmel; her grandsons, John A. Yarbor of Bloomfield and Alex Yarbor (Kyra) of Martinsville, Indiana; her great grandchild Josephine Yarbor; and her sister-in-law Loree Barber of Princeton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Heartland Worship Center, Mount Carmel (212 W 2nd St, Mt Carmel, Illinois 62863, United States). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bessie's honor may be made to the Wabash County Senior Center or to your favorite charity.
