She was predeceased by: her parents, Bailey Phelps and Frances Phelps (Yates); her husband Richard Windle; and her siblings, Gene Phelps, Earl Phelps, Jack Phelps, Clarence Phelps, Richard Phelps and Patty Phelps.
She is survived by: her children, Mendy Claridge (Keith) and Todd Stuessel (Nichol); her stepchildren, Jimmy Windle, Mickey Windle, Ricky Windle, Melissa Stokley and Mindy Arena; her grandchildren, Taylor Stephens, Kalob Stuessel, Wyatt Stuessel and Willow Stuessel; her great grandchildren, Stella Stephens and Tex Stephens; and her sister Peggy Conners. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home (1500 N Cherry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Brenda's memory to Mendy Claridge to help offset final expenses.
