He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lane and Amanza Lane (Newkirk); his daughter Brittany Carter; his grandson Levi; his siblings, Jeffery Scott and Carla Marie; his niece Jaimie; and his nephew Kevin.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Glenn (Stacee) and Shannon Harms (Donny); his grandchildren, Kiah (Colton), Gavin (Madison), Hannah and Ashtynn; his siblings, David Joseph Lane (Lorie) and Diane Michelle Phillips (George); and his nieces and nephews, Lance, Lauren, Thomas, Victoria, Amanza, Ronnie, Jody, Patrick, Patricia, Jessie and Danielle. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Keepes Funeral Home (1500 N Cherry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bruce's memory to Mount Carmel VFW.
