He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph W. Ewald and Emma "Evalyn" Ewald; his sisters, Carol Ann Leetham and Mary Jane Kieffer; and his brother-in-law Norman Neel.
He is survived by : his sons, Gregory A. Ewald (Sarah) of Saint Louis, MO, Christopher S. Ewald (Danielle) of Mount Carmel and Michael L. Ewald (Rhonda) of Newburgh, IN; his grandchildren, Robert Ewald (Caroline) of Fairhope, AL, Andrew Ewald of Saint Louis, MO, Laura Ewald of Winston Salem, NC, Morgan McClelland (Matthew) of Albion, IL, Adrian Ewald of Findlay, OH, Kaitlyn Ewald of Newburgh, IN and Courtney Ewald of Newburgh, IN; his sister Sue Neel; and his brothers-in-law, Carl Leetham, Jr. and Jack Kieffer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
