Hazel J. Allen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel J. Allen of Mount Carmel, Illinois, who passed away on December 11, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Hazel J. Allen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Lynch and Beatrice Lynch (Rhodrich); her children, Pamela Warren and Skip VanVleet; her siblings, Don Lynch and Helen Lynch; and her stepfather Eddie Miller.
She is survived by: her husband Glenn Allen; her children, Cathy Cole (Darren) and Mark VanVleet; her grandchildren, John, Danny, Jeremy, Brent, Sasha, Mark Jr. and Tori; her great grandchildren, James, Mason, Tristin, Taylor, Davin, Elijah, Rian, Adleigh, Waylon, John Ryder, Mila, Winston, Lux and Jensen; and her great great grandchildren, Rosie and Cody. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Keepes Funeral Home (1500 N Cherry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family has chosen memorial contributions be made in Hazel's memory to Wabash Rally Against Cancer to honor her late son, Skip who passed from cancer.
