He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nelson and Martha Lucille Bratton (Henson); his wife Ginger; his brother Roy Bratton; his half-sister Betty Dardeen; and his grandson William Lee Timberlake.
He is survived by: his children, Meredith Newton (Rodney) of Princeton, IN, Margie Krug (Gary) of Allendale, IL, Michelle Holcomb (Terry) of Owensville, IN and Jimmy Mahan of Evansville, IN; and his grandchildren, Brittany Keil (Logan), Taylor Newton, Gary Lee Perry (Michael), Bethany Pack (Robert), Nick Perry, Ryleigh Holcomb (Logan Jones), Ali DeLong (Eric), James Mahan and Kasey Mahan. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
