He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Chapman and Thelma Pauline Chapman (Birkla); his daughter Tina Belt; his sister Joetta Ann Briggs; his stepfather Howard Leach; and his brother-in-law Herbert Strickland.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Chapman; his daughter Robin Denise Chapman; his grandchildren, Whitney Belt, Britney Wagner, Samantha Haller and John Dearing; his great grandchildren, Cade Belt, Kyson Wagner, Macie Belt, Theodore Belt, Joseph Haller and Finn Dearing; and his sister Florence Pearl Strickland (Chapman).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jon's memory to Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.
