She was predeceased by : her parents, Matthew E. Rice and Bertha Rice (Stallard); her husband Herman J. Steckler of Mary's Catholic Church; her granddaughters, Ashley West and Stacey Sprinkle (Steckler); her siblings, Delilah Bailey (Gleason) and Jesse E. Rice (Inez); and her half-siblings, Pete Rice (Mildred) and Elsie Arrowsmith (Reno).
She is survived by : her children, Michael Steckler (Janice) of Mt. Carmel, IL, Fred Steckler (Karen) of Mt. Carmel, IL, Dianna Berberich (Karl) of Mt. Carmel, IL, Janice West (Doug) of Mt. Carmel, IL, Jeanie Kennard (Wayne) of Mt. Carmel, IL and Pattie Xanders (Greg) of Vincennes, IN; and her grandchildren, Lisa Steckler Magee (Michael), Becky Boerner, Julie Steckler (Tina Fillman), Kristi Masinelli (Dave), Susan Shotts (Mike), Bonnie Steckler Simmons, Jared Steckler (Meagan), Karla Leighty (Marc), Tammy Beck (Micah), Andy Berberich (Shawn), Aaron Berberich (Sarah), Scott West (Nikki More), Hayley Kennard and Bryan Kennard. She is also survived by twenty-two great grandchildren and her first great-great-grandchild.
