We announce the death of Katherine Keneipp of Mount Carmel, Illinois, who passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 94. Katherine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Treece and Velma Treece (Stoneberger); her husband Jackie Lee Keneipp; and her siblings, Gene Treece and Patsy Randolph.
She is survived by: her daughter Melinda Sue "Mindy" Silvernale (Thomas); her grandson Andrew Silvernale (Allie); and her great grandchildren, Tyson, Dylan, Micah and Noah Silvernale. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Short-Cunningham Funeral Home (527 N Mulberry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at the Highland Memorial Cemetery.
