The family announces the passing of Larry Reynolds of Mount Carmel, Illinois on October 10, 2026. Larry, born on September 28, 1934 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cal Reynolds and Garnet Reynolds of Lawrenceville; and his former wife Mary Jo Reynolds. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Reynolds; his stepchildren, Aaron Loudermilk (Lisa) and Kelly Price; and his children, JoDee McConnaughhay (Dennis), Mark Reynolds (Cindy), Linda Stewart, Ryan Reynolds (Meagan) and Marissa Smith. He is also survived by his children, nineteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Short-Cunningham Funeral Home (527 N Mulberry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at the Lick Prairie Cemetery (815 Brewery St, New Harmony, IN 47631-8306).
Memorial contributions in memory of Larry can be made to Charles Ford Hospice in Harmony and Parkview Christian Church.
