It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norman E. Howell of Mount Carmel, Illinois, who passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Norman has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry A. Howell and Gladys Howell (Shook); and his siblings, Phyllis Cowling and Glenn Howell. He is survived by: his wife Rena Howell; his nieces, Glenda Niehaus and Angela Adkins; and his nephew Mark Cowling. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews along with great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Keepes Funeral Home (1500 N Cherry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
