It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rick C. Abby of Mount Carmel, Illinois, who passed away on September 29, 2022, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Abby and Helen Abby (Lowe). He is survived by: his wife Sandy Blackburn; his daughters, Jennifer Barbre (Christopher) and Sara Calverley (Bryan); his grandchildren, Evan, Matthew Barbre, Emmy and Max Calverley; his sisters, Kathy McClellan (Paul) and Becky Whitlow (Jim); and his nephew Eric McClellan (Megan).

Memorial contributions may be made in Rick's memory to Vanderbilt – Ingram Cancer Center.
