He was predeceased by: his father Donald Ray; his wife Joni; his daughter Michelle; and his sister Sandy Patterson. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Lee Mains (Buchanan); his daughter Marisa Ruffner (Jacob) of Mason, Illinois; his brother Don Mains of Mt. Carmel; and his grandson Grant Thomas Ruffner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Short-Cunningham Funeral Home (527 N Mulberry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
