He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earl Hackler, Jr. and Hazel Louise Hackler (Smith). He is survived by: his children, Kim Reilly (Mike) of Mt. Carmel and Brian Hackler (Stacey) of Indianapolis, Ind.; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Parkhurst (Zach), Kristyn Johnson (Luke), Morgan Tusing (Justin) and Will Hackler; and his great grandchildren, Josie, Elsie, Cove, Liam Parkhurst, James and Arlo Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Short-Cunningham Funeral Home (527 N Mulberry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at the Highland Memorial Cemetery (2200 College Dr, Mt Carmel, IL 62863).
