He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Warkins and Edith Warkins; and his brother Richard "Dick" Warkins. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane; his sister Susan Lyons; his children, Brad Warkins and Laura Cole (Mark); and his grandchildren, Thomas Warkins, Andrew Warkins, Matthew Schroedle (Amy), Daniel Schroedle (Elisa), Adam Cole (Erin) and Caroline Cole.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dave's name to Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris, and Serenity Hospice and Home.
