Susan J. Wright Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan J. Wright of Mount Morris, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 20, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Haan and Lela Mae Haan (Sykes); her husband Harold; her grandson Ean R Burke; her brother Richard Haan (Rita); her sister-in-law Rita Haan; and her boyfriend Marvin Hubbell (Hub).
She is survived by: her brothers, Robert Haan (Sue), Joseph Haan (Donna), Gerald Haan (Nancy), Michael Haan (Bess) and David Haan (Fay); her pet Sailor; her children, Suzanne Thompson (Jack) of Mt Morris, IL, Mark Wright of Chana, IL, Steven Wright (Gina) of Breese, IL, David Wright of Hampshire, IL, Mary Burke (Bob) of Janesville, WI and Michelle Scudder (Jared) of Morrison, IL.; and her aunt Bonnie Kuhnen. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Morrison United Methodist Church (200 W Lincoln Way, Morrison, IL 61270). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. A procession was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Plainview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family will be establishing a memorial in Susan's honor.
