She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bolhous and Frances Bolhous (Linde); her siblings, Willis, Walter, Ralph Bolhous, Marion Lambert and Sylvia Newcomer; her granddaughter Laurie Watts Wagner; and her stepdaughter Judith Dudley.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Watts (Denise) and Vicky (Ray); her stepchildren, Roland Watts (Linda) of Oregon, Roger Watts of Oregon and Joyce Davis (Larry) of Oregon; her siblings, Bertha Kennay of Rice Lake and Lawrence Bolhous (Doris) of Oregon, IL; and her grandchildren, Paul Race, Lindy Watts, Michael Davis, Kelly Beeter, Lisa Madlora, Peter Race, Kristy Watts, Jason Beard and Curtis Watts. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home - Oregon (110 S 7th St, Oregon, IL 61061). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial fund is established in Verna's name for Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon, IL and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Paynes Point, IL of which she was a member for her entire 92 years.
