He was predeceased by: his mother Janet Hanks (Hurst); his grandparents, Bill, Dolly Smalley, Oscar and Marie Hurst; his uncle Jim Jouett; and his cousin Mark Ellerbeck.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Smalley; his father John Smalley (Stacy Williams-Vinson); his siblings, Lynn Smalley, Rhonda Whitworth and Jonna Smalley; and his aunts, Barb Thomas (Mark) and Bernice Jouett. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews.
