We announce the death of Margaret Pugh (Mount Olive, Illinois), who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 83. Margaret will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sanford Downing Jr. and Marjorie LaVerne Downing (Clark); her husband William Lee Pugh; and her sister Elizabeth Laraine Downing (James Roland Kinney). She is survived by: her children, Barbara L. Pugh-Bone (Mike Labonte) of Mt. Olive, IL, Kelly L. Tannenbaum (Bill) of Conifer, CO and William L. Pugh II of East Alton, IL; her godson Ryan John Trauernicht (Cheryl) of Lisle, IL; her niece Polly McVey-Decker (Thad) of Brazil, IN; her half-sister Sandy Barnett (Tonya) of Brazil, IN; her grandchildren, Jeffery Bone (Sarah) of Chatham, IL, Jessie Hanner (Bradley) of Mt. Olive, IL, Autumn Pugh-Giger (Cole Cronk) of Denver, CO, Luke Tannenbaum of Conifer, CO, Aspen Burger (Scott Hartmann) of Grafton, IL and Kacy Pugh of Godfrey, IL.; and her great grandchildren, Zoey Bone of Chatham, IL, J. D. Bone of Chatham, IL, Jaxon Bone of Chatham, IL, A. J. Bone of Mt. Olive, IL, Theo Hanner of Mt. Olive, IL and Beau Hartmann of Grafton, IL.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, bonus children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Becker & Son Funeral Home (221 S Poplar St, Mt Olive, IL 62069). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the Family.
