We announce the death of Roger Kratochvil of Mount Olive, Illinois, who passed away on June 30, 2026, at the age of 88. Roger will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his son Timothy Roger Kratochvil; his mothers, Louise Sr. Kratochvil and Norma Simburger Kratochvil (Simburger); his siblings, Louis "Junior" Kratochvil, Donald Ray Kratochvil and Mary Ann Newquist; his brother-in-law Donald Newquist; and his niece Laura Newquist.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughter Jane Francine Kratochvil; his grandchildren, Jack William Kratochvil, Luke Timothy Kratochvil (Riley) and Olivia Marie Kratochvil; and his nephew Brian Newquist.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Mt. Olive Zion Lutheran Church, Mt. Olive Academic Association and Benld Adopt-A-Pet.
