Shirley Yancik Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Yancik of Mount Olive, Illinois, who passed away on April 6, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Tull and Claudia Hatfield; her husband Charles M. Yancik; and her sister Leajeanne Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Tony Yancik (Alecia) of Naples, FL, Laura Lockhart (Mike Finch) of Staunton, IL, Valerie Spratte (Tony) of Des Peres, MO and Melissa Ocepek (Shawn Rothe) of Staunton, IL; her grandchildren, Nick Rothgangel (Keli Plenske), Nathan Rothgangel, Andrea Rothgangel (Nick Bond), Alex Ocepek (Mandy), Coby, Evan and Brady Spratte; and her great grandchildren, Max, Mason Ocepek and Althea Bond.
