He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne Nelson and Eric Nelson; his wife Margaret; and his brother James Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Amy Nelson (Chris Hegarty), Suzanne Nelson (Darrin Masters) and Doug Nelson (Jill Nelson); his stepchildren, Sarah Drehobl, Aren Drehobl (Arryn Hawthorne) and Amanda Llorens (Ashley); and his sister Carol Nelson.
