He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Moder (Wilfuhr) and Jonathan Moder; his stepfather Edward Rohde; his siblings, John Moder, Thomas Moder and Dorothy Cowden; his stepsister Mary Desmond; his son Mark Moder; and his grandsons, Nathanial Cavalenes and Raymond Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Duane Moder (Christy), Linda Michael, Christine Vidmar (Alan), Dennis Moder (Kris) and Julianne Smith (Steve); his daughter-in-law Shari Moder; his grandchildren, Heather Lonze (Mike), Mark Jr. Moder (Jenna), Brandon Moder, Dane Moder, Daniel Vidmar, Collin Michael, Stephanie Vidmar, Erik Michael, Roland Moder (Sonya), MaryCatherine Moder, Nicholas Vidmar, Nolan Moder (Courtney), Joanne Mehalic (Stevie), Arielle Michael, Michaela Day (Garrett), Devin Moder (Agnes), Noah Smith (Maria), Miranda Smith, Isaiah Smith and Joshua Smith; and his stepsister Micheline Meiers.
