She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Anthony J. Tolbert III; her parents, Hans Facklam and Martha Facklam; and her sister Hilda Swanson (Facklam). She is survived by: her sons, Anthony J Tolbert IV, Jeffrey Tolbert (Rebecca Kenny) and Thomas Tolbert (Jacki Brown); her grandsons, Nicolas and Andrew Tolbert; and her sibling's children, Patti Piron (Swanson), Bill Swanson and Jim Swanson. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

Irene (Facklam) Tolbert, age 92, died peacefully in her sleep on August 25th, after suffering from Parkinson's disease for many years.
