She was predeceased by: her parents, George Long and Mabel Long; and her husband William J. McDermott. She is survived by: her children, Mary Nosek (Michael), William McDermott (Karalynn), Timothy McDermott (Lorelei) and John McDermott (Lori); her grandchildren, Kathy Ladd (Rob), Kevin Nosek (Kelly), Mark Nosek (Mary Alex), Amy Nosek (Connor O'Ryan), Jeff Nosek, SeanBell Weber (Nick), Will McDermott, Meghan Fagan (Christopher), Bridget McDermott, Jack McDermott (Hannah Flagstad), John McDermott (Hannah Buenzow) and Molly McDermott; and her great grandchildren, Laura, Mikey, Zoe Ladd, Connor Fagan and Avery Nosek.

In lieu of flowers charitable donations can be made to St. Raymond de Penafort Church in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
