He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Gibson and Marie Gibson (Englmann). He is survived by: his wife Isabel (McCracken); his children, Kathleen Davie (Glenn), Linda Wantuch (late Ronald) and John Gibson (Stacy); his grandchildren, Ryan Davie (Sarah), Nicole Davie, Carter Gibson (Courtney), Spencer Gibson (Amanda), Brett Gibson and Adeline Wantuch; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Amelia, Reese and Francesca; and his sisters, Kathleen Schenkel (Michael) and Joan LaBouff (Thom).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Raymond de Penafort Church (301 S I Oka Ave, Mt Prospect, IL 60056).
