Judy Tanaka Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judy Tanaka of Mount Prospect, Illinois, who passed away on July 5, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Tadao Tanaka; her son Larry Tanaka; and her parents, Katsunosuke Nakao and Shinayo Nakao. She is survived by: her sister Molly Oda; her daughters, Susan Deckrow (Jon) and Katherine Tanaka Volland (George); her grandchildren, Robin Boehmke (Shane), Scott Deckrow (Jessica) and Shannon McCullough (Adam); and her great grandchildren, Jonathan, Mackenzie Karstenson, Gwendolyn, Sofie Deckrow, Maeve and Logan McCullough.
During World War II, Executive Order 9066 forced the Japanese American community including the Nakao family to leave their farm and home.
