He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Kurka and Cecelia Kurka; his brother Jim Kurka; his sister-in-law Mary; his son-in-law Terry Gallagher; and his grandson Paul Patrick Kurka.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peg" Kurka; his children, Steve Kurka (Linda), Karen VanGrondelle (Chris), Mimi Gallagher (late Terry), Kate Andersen (Scott), Liz Owens (Mike) and Tom Kurka (Karen); his grandchildren, Katie Zaluckyj (Matt), Colleen Wallek (Brad), Meghan Gallagher (Ryan Woods), Jack Andersen (JoJo), Maggie Milligan (Chris), Kelly Lewandowski (Cole), Matt Owens (Kayla), Amy Barrette (Brandon), Tommy Gallagher, Annie LaBeck (Joe), Patrick Kurka, Rose Gallagher, Emily Kurka, Ben Kurka, Owen Barrette, Bennett, Campbell Andersen, Max, Emmett Wallek, Kara Lewandowski, Liam Owens and Wyatt Zaluckyj; his brother Tom Kurka (Natalie); and his sibling-in-law Fran Kurka (late Jim).
